Moms, Dad, and Grads

Early summer brings three great reasons to celebrate

We just enjoyed a rainy, chilly Mother’s Day weekend here in Massachusetts as a nasty nor’easter swept through to dampen the day. (Who knew we could even have a nor’easter that didn’t involve copious amounts of snow?) Although the day may not have been all that bright, love for our moms and all the wonderful ways they support us from day one onward certainly helped keep the gloomy weather at bay.

And next month, we’ll be celebrating dads, too. Hard to say quite yet whether we’ll be having soggy BBQs to celebrate the fathers who made sure we got to school, sports practices, and wherever else our young selves needed to be on time. But hopefully it’ll be the kind of pleasant, early-summer weather that forms the perfect backdrop to the making of fond memories.

And for all the new college graduates who are finally getting a chance to don cap and gown and take that ceremonious walk across the stage to receive your diploma, degree, or certificate, we salute you. The hard work and perseverance that’s required to reach the finish line in school is certainly a #mightymoment worthy of much celebrating.

In fact, spring and early summer is the perfect time to celebrate whatever or whomever you think is worth toasting. Our SPORT Kiwi White is a grand accompaniment to all the lovely warm days ahead and the great people and events you’ll be celebrating in the near future. So grab a six-pack and toast the mom, dad, and/or grad in your life and the lazy days of summer ahead. –Elaine K. Howley

(And we’d like to give a special shout of congratulations to Chelsea Warren, wife of Mighty Squirrel’s Operations Manager George Warren, who became a mom just before Mother’s Day herself with the arrival of a beautiful and healthy baby girl. Congratulations, Chelsea and George, and welcome to the family, Nora!)
