Except instead of cotton candy and ferris wheels, picture more of pretzel necklaces, 90 brewery tents and over 200 beer styles as the main attraction! Oh, and of course, an adult bouncy house! (I mean why not, right?)
At least that was the scene this year at the 6th Annual Cape Cod Brewfest held at East Falmouth Fairgrounds, which brought in a sold-out crowd of 1,800 beer lovers and friends.
Despite the rainy and chilly conditions, spirits were high as folks made their way tent to tent. After all, we have beer! What else do we need? You might have even thought you were at a concert rather than a beerfest – people dancing, splashing in the rain, and cheering. I think I even spotted a beach ball…
Just like the rain, our beer poured steadily – UNTIL – we were down to our last case! Our sought after Kiwi White, IPA, and Mocha stout was all but gone. The word spread fast too. And in the end, we had to break a few hearts as we poured our last ounce of beer. Still, the folks found some glimmer of hope as we announced our new 17,000 square foot brewery in Waltham, MA- coming soon!
Other than some muddy shoes, this was one to remember! The fairgrounds always draw in a good crowd…rain or shine!
